Barrett, the company's Principal Engineer and Chief Technical Officer, explained that his company has added listings of the most common Industry Classification Codes to its website. These listings will enable visitors to quickly categorize his company's offerings according to the NAICS, NIGP, and SIC classification systems. Barrett, has just returned from the sixth annual Microchip Masters' Conference, in Phoenix, Arizona. At the conference, Mr. Barrett received technical training which renewed his certification as a Microchip Consultant, and Microchip confirmed his company's continuing participation in the Microchip Consultant Program:

Barrett, P.E., has been awarded the Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) credential.
Candidates for the CSDP credential must have extensive experience in the field of software development, and must successfully complete a rigorous examination demonstrating their mastery of the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK). Holders of the CSDP are subject to Ethical Standards and perpetual Continuing Education requirements. Unlike the more usual "certifications" available from software vendors and commercial trade groups, the CSDP is considered to be a "primary" credential. According to the IEEE Computer Society, the CSDP is the first professional software certification offered by an established, international, Standards-setting organization. The CSDP is the newest component of the IEEE Computer Society's larger effort to establish world-wide Software Engineering Standards, and to provide continuing education to the Software Engineering community.
